Date of Ascension of the Prophet:
There are many sayings about the history of Ascension. Regarding this, my teacher Shaykh-ul-Hadeeth Saeed Millat Allama Ghulam Rasool Saeedi (may Allah have mercy on him) has written in Tabian-ul-Quran quoting Mullah Ali Qari (may Allah have mercy on him) that many scholars and narrators have said that The incident took place one year before the Hijrah. Allama Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned that the forerunners of the great majority of narrators and jurists agree that the event took place sixteen months after the Ascension. Happened in Makkah and Mukhtar is what our Shaykh Abu Muhammad said that the Ascension took place one year before the Hijrah, and Syed Jamal-ud-Din Muhaddith wrote in Roza-ul-Ahbab There is a saying that action is done. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) was resting in the courtyard of the Ka’bah one night when Jibreel Amin (PBUH) came to his service and woke him up from his dream.
